I grew up in a small college town in Kansas where I contracted the gardening bug early, converting to organic gardening at age 12.
My formal studies included degrees from Washington State and Michigan State Universities. I attended a Permaculture course in Tennessee and received their certificate. This deepened my interest in soil restoration.
After obtaining a degree in Landscape Architecture from Kansas State University, I ran my own business until recently. I have retired as a landscape architect/contractor and now devote all my time to no-till gardening on about a half acre (+ two acres of grassland for mulch grass) on the island of Kauai, Hawaii.
I want to share my experience and understanding of the No-Till method of gardening, and it’s resulting soil preservation, via this website.
